Questions about your Instruments
Please tell me about the materials, sizes and prices
There are three types of materials I use.
①Nitrided steel: A steel sheet that has been heat-treated using ammonia as a catalyst.
Since the surface is hardened, there is little bending and a calm and quiet sound is produced.
②Stainless steel # 430: The most popular type of ferritic stainless steel.
Compared to Ember Steel, especially in the mid to high range
There is a slightly bright impression. The length of the reverberation is remarkable.
③Ember Steel: A type of stainless steel, the newest material. (From Ayasa Instruments)
It features a warm and gentle tone that you can't think of as iron from the low to high range.
And the reverberation is long and the overtones resonate beautifully.
There are three sizes of handpans I make.
① Diameter 53 cm / Height 27 cm Weight Approximately 4.5 kg
We can manufacture scales from the wide range to the low range. It is standard size.
¥ 275,000-JPY (tax included) Maintenance kit included,Free worldwide shipping
② Diameter 50cm / Height 25cm It weighs about 4.0kg, but it is a little smaller,
but it has a full-fledged tone and volume. Mid to high range scales can be manufactured.
It's easy to handle, so it's especially recommended for women.

③ Diameter 45cm / Height 23cm Weight Approximately 3.2kg Compact and light, it is ideal for traveling.
The sound is a little weaker in comparison, but the tone and volume are sufficient as an instrument.
High range scales can be manufactured.

Is it possible to add a sound board on the bottom?

It is an oxidized film created when baked in a furnace,
but it is coated with brass for the finish.
What is the difference between 4th Generation and the new material Ember Steel?
Both 4th and Ember are made of the same stainless steel material.
4th is a type of stainless steel called #430.

Maintenance kit (microfiber cloth, Phoenix Handpan Care Oil)
The 4th Gen. has the platform of the Ding part already fixed at the time of Shell molding,
Since the platform of the Ding section is already fixed at the time of shell molding, it is not possible to make a so-called mutant type (a model in which a few treble notes are added to the Top) or a low-range pan.
The basic shape is a simple 9-note type,
The bottom of the pan can have a scale from C3 to F5.
The characteristics of this instrument are its transparent tone, overtones that come to the fore, and surround-like reverberation.
4th Generation Reference Video
Ember Steel can be used to create scales from low to high frequencies, similar to E2,
It is also compatible with the Mutant type (a model that adds some treble notes to the Top).
The bottom can be scaled from Ab2 to E6.
It can be said that it is characterized by a quiet but deep and warm tone.
What is the surface color?
An oxide film formed when baked in a furnace.
Stainless steel changes from bass (gold) to treble (brown).
Nitrided steel changes from bass (yellow) to treble (purple, gray)

Questions about maintenance
To prevent surface tarnishing, remove hand grease
from the surface of the instrument after each playing.
Use an anhydrous ethanol available at any common drugstore.
Also, When you feel that the surface has become dry,
use the PHOENIX OIL.
Apply a few drops off the care oil on the surface of the instrument, and use the microfiber cloth
to spread the oil as thinly as possible. (on both the top and bottom)
<Other points of attention>
♦︎ Do not hit it hard with a stick or the like.
Also, be careful not to drop it accidentally.
♦︎Do not expose it to direct sunlight for a long time.
If the surface becomes so hot that you cannot touch it,
the pitch may change.
♦︎Do not expose it to rainwater.
If sweat drips on the surface you are in need of immediate cleaning with anhydrous ethanol.
♦︎When storing for long periods of time, store in an environment with as low a humidity as possible.
